A 35-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, has been sentenced to prison for distributing methamphetamine.
Jeramie D. Watts, 35, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on July 6, 2023 in federal court in Omaha for distributing methamphetamine.
According to the court records, Watts was found guilty of distributing methamphetamine after an undercover operation conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. On April 20, 2018, an undercover agent purchased 11 grams of methamphetamine from Watts for $500 in the parking lot of a West Omaha business.
The methamphetamine was confirmed by a forensic lab to weigh 11.7 grams with a purity of 95%. Watts was arrested after producing the methamphetamine and leaving the area.
U.S. District Judge Brian C. Buescher sentenced Watts to 12 months plus 1 day imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system.
After his release from prison, Watts will begin a 3-year term of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
