Kendra R. Baker Sentenced for Methamphetamine Distribution in Nebraska

In a shocking turn of events, Kendra R. Baker, 37, of Grand Island, Nebraska, was sentenced to 54 months in prison for distribution of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine mixture and 5 grams or more of methamphetamine actual. This harsh sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Judge John M. Gerrard in federal court in Lincoln.

The investigation revealed that Baker sold over 125 grams of lab-confirmed methamphetamine, with some of it containing at least 74 grams of actual methamphetamine. This is a staggering amount of the highly addictive and destructive drug.

The case was investigated by the Tri-City Drug Enforcement Team (TRIDENT), a task force comprised of law enforcement personnel from various agencies, including the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Grand Island Police Department, Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Hastings Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, Kearney Police Department, and the Nebraska State Patrol.

According to the investigation, Baker sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant on multiple occasions in March and April of 2021. The purchases were made at various locations in Grand Island and Hastings, with the quantities ranging from a half ounce to two ounces of methamphetamine.

After serving her sentence, Baker will be required to serve a 3-year term of supervised release. It is worth noting that there is no parole in the federal system.
