A 39-year-old man from New York, Levon Williams, also known as ‘Slim,’ has been sentenced to 36 months of incarceration for his involvement in a drug distribution operation. The sentencing took place on an unknown date in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Williams pleaded guilty in August 2019 to one count of ‘Distribution of Cocaine Base Within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location.’ He admitted to selling cocaine near Mascoli Park in Monongalia County in July 2018.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia handled the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Zelda E. Wesley prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
The Mon Metro Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case. U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the sentencing hearing.
Williams’ involvement in the drug distribution operation led to his conviction. The incident took place in July 2018 near Mascoli Park in Monongalia County, West Virginia. Williams admitted to selling cocaine in the area.
