Newport News, Virginia – A shocking case of a teacher’s secret life has come to an end with Andrew Myers, a 39-year-old high school special education teacher, sentenced to two years in prison for importing MDMA, also known as Ecstasy, into the United States.

According to court documents, Myers was importing MDMA from Germany and Spain. The illegal narcotic, sometimes referred to as Ecstasy, is a highly addictive and potent substance that can have serious consequences on one’s health and well-being.

In February 2020, special agents with Homeland Security Investigations and detectives with the Newport News Police Department received information that a package containing MDMA was entering the United States and was addressed to Myers. The agents conducted a controlled delivery of the package to Myers’ residence, where he denied any knowledge of the package.

However, in July 2021, agents located an additional package of MDMA that was entering the United States from Spain. The agents did a controlled delivery of the package to a post office box in Yorktown, where Myers arrived to retrieve the package, only to be arrested.

Andrew Myers, 39, of Newport News, Virginia, was sentenced to two years in prison for importing MDMA into the United States.
