Andrew Trayvon Hale, Armed Commercial Robbery, Maryland 2022

Greenbelt, Maryland – In a string of brazen armed robberies that shocked residents and store owners alike, a Prince George’s County man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. Andrew Trayvon Hale, 27, was found guilty of participating in at least 11 armed commercial robberies across Prince George’s County and the District of Columbia between June 19, 2022, and July 23, 2022.

According to the government’s case, Hale and his co-conspirator, Antoine Javon Hare, carried out the robberies at various convenience stores, using firearms in each incident. The duo’s crimes came to an end on July 23, 2022, when they led Prince George’s County Police Department officers on a high-speed chase into the District of Columbia. The chase ended with the robbers crashing their vehicle and being taken into custody.

Police recovered firearms and proceeds from at least one of the robberies at the scene. This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence in communities.

U.S. Attorney Erek L. Barron praised the FBI, Prince George’s County Police Department, Greenbelt Police Department, and the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department for their work in the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Patrick D. Kibbe and Megan S. McKoy are prosecuting the case.

Hale’s 15-year sentence is a significant blow to the community, and law enforcement officials are hailing it as a major victory in the fight against violent crime.
