FORT WAYNE, Indiana – Andrew Wood, a 24-year-old man from Leo, Indiana, has been handed a 135-month prison sentence in connection with a brazen armed bank robbery that shook the small town of Harlan, Indiana, in 2014.
Wood, along with five co-defendants, robbed the bank at gunpoint on September 12, 2014. The group’s plan was to use intimidation and firepower to get their hands on cash. However, things took a deadly turn when two shots were fired through the bank’s glass front doors to allow Wood and his accomplice to exit.
Wood was apprehended shortly after the robbery, a short distance from the bank. His co-defendants were also taken into custody in the following hours.
