May 9, 2025 – In a shocking turn of events, the FBI has announced the arrest of Angel Ramirez Flores, a Texas man accused of attempting to transfer obscene material to minors.
According to the FBI, Flores was taken into custody in Lamesa, Texas on Wednesday, May 8, 2025. He faces charges of Attempted Transfer of Obscene Material to Minors in the Northern District of Texas.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jen Schrauth is prosecuting the case. If convicted, Flores faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
The FBI’s operation, dubbed ‘Operation Restore Justice,’ aimed to identify, track, and arrest child sex predators across the country. The nationwide crackdown resulted in the rescue of 115 children and the arrests of 205 child sexual abuse offenders.
‘The FBI will never stop fighting to protect victims — especially child victims — and we will not rest until we hunt down, arrest, and prosecute every child predator who preys on the most vulnerable among us,’ said FBI Director Kash Patel.
Flores is currently in custody and awaits trial. The case is ongoing.
