Antelmo Obeso-Valenzuela, Methamphetamine Conspiracy, Nebraska 2025

A 52-year-old Mexican national has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison for his role in a methamphetamine conspiracy.

Antelmo Obeso-Valenzuela, a resident of Omaha, Nebraska, was handed down a 250-month prison sentence by United States District Judge Brian C. Buescher on December 17, 2025.

According to the investigation, Obeso-Valenzuela sold a pound of methamphetamine to an undercover detective outside an apartment building in Papillion, Nebraska, on February 8, 2024.

The undercover detective had communicated with a source of supply in Mexico to arrange the purchase, with the source directing the detective to the apartment building to meet Obeso-Valenzuela.

On February 20, 2024, police arrested Obeso-Valenzuela and conducted searches of an Omaha residence and an apartment in the Papillion building.

During the searches, agents seized approximately 63 pounds of methamphetamine and more than $14,000 in cash, which will be forfeited to the United States as proceeds of drug dealing.

The case was investigated by the Omaha Police Department, the Metro Drug Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Obeso-Valenzuela will begin a five-year term of supervised release after his release from prison, with no parole available in the federal system.
