Anthony Jackson, Fentanyl Distribution, West Virginia 2025
A 59-year-old Huntington man, Anthony Jackson, also known as “Snake,” pleaded guilty to distributing a quantity of fentanyl. This is not his first time committing a crime of this nature.
On January 8, 2025, Jackson and Brian Lee Moore, also known as “Pooter,” 37, of Huntington, took part in the sale of approximately 3.28 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant located at a 10th Avenue apartment in Huntington.
As part of their guilty pleas, Moore admitted that he provided the fentanyl to Jackson, and Jackson admitted that he distributed it to the confidential informant. Furthermore, Jackson admitted to distributing a total of 78.16 grams of fentanyl to a confidential informant on eight different occasions between January 11, 2024, and July 3, 2024.
Moore also admitted to providing a total of 67.09 grams of fentanyl for six of those transactions. The two men are scheduled to be sentenced on December 15, 2025, and each faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston made the announcement and commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office. United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers presided over the hearings.
