Antoine Clark, South Philadelphia Drug Trafficking, Pennsylvania 2024

A notorious South Philadelphia drug trafficking ringleader has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Antoine Clark, 31, was found guilty of leading an almost around-the-clock drug delivery service in the 7th Street corridor of South Philadelphia between 2014 and 2016.

Clark and his codefendants, Gerald Spruell, 33, and Daniel Robinson, 37, were convicted of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and distribution or possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and heroin. The group, known as the ‘Friends’ and the ‘7th Street’ drug trafficking organization, used a shared drug phone to take orders and communicate with customers.

The phone, which was intercepted by FBI agents, documented the defendants’ illicit activities over the course of several years. The agents were able to intercept phone calls and text messages, which provided crucial evidence in the case.

U.S. Attorney William M. McSwain stated that drug trafficking is an insidious and dangerous activity that ruins neighborhoods. Clark was an expert at it, and now he will pay the price – to the tune of 25 years. That is the sort of just punishment that awaits drug dealers in federal court.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Newcomer and Jason Grenell prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI’s Philadelphia Division worked tirelessly to keep communities safe from predators like Clark.

Antoine Clark was sentenced to 25 years in prison, 10 years of supervised release, and ordered to pay a $1,700 fine. This sentence sends a strong message to drug organizations and gang members that if you traffick in illegal drugs, you will be hunted down and brought to justice.
