Arlin Hatathlie, a 35-year-old man from Tuba City, Arizona, has been sentenced to 37 months in prison for his role in a domestic violence case. The conviction stems from two separate incidents of assault resulting in serious bodily injury.
The incidents occurred on March 26, 2013, and November 18, 2015, on the Navajo Nation, where Hatathlie is a member of the Navajo Indian Tribe. The victim, also a member of the Navajo Indian Tribe, suffered serious bodily injury during the assaults.
The investigation into the case was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Navajo Nation Department of Public Safety. Dimitra H. Sampson, Assistant U.S. Attorney, District of Arizona, Phoenix, handled the prosecution.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Arizona, Hatathlie pleaded guilty to two counts of assault resulting in serious bodily injury. He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Paul G. Rosenblatt to 37 months’ imprisonment.
