CHICAGO, IL – In a gruesome display of automotive mayhem, Arthur Lund, chief clerk at Bride well, met his untimely demise when an auto plowed into his car. The driver of the Carson Pirie truck, George Gumpers, was pronounced dead on the scene after their vehicle was struck by a train at the intersection of Sunrise and Sunset avenues at 6:23 a.m.
