A federal grand jury in Fort Wayne, Indiana, returned an indictment against Beau A. Eldridge on March 26, 2014, charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to the indictment, Eldridge, 28, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, allegedly possessed a firearm on or about February 22, 2014.
The charge was filed as a result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fort Wayne Police Department.
This case has been assigned to and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Lovita Morris King.
The United States Attorney’s Office emphasized that an indictment is merely an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
If convicted in court, any specific sentence to be imposed will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
Eldridge’s exact sentence or outcome has not been released yet.
