Leader of Antifa Cell Members in North Texas Sentenced to 100 Years in Prison for Terrorist Attack on ICE Facility.
In a shocking turn of events, Benjamin Hanil Song, the leader of an Antifa cell in North Texas, was sentenced to 100 years in prison for his role in a terrorist attack on an ICE facility. The attack, which occurred on July 4, 2025, resulted in the attempted murder of an Alvarado police officer and other violent crimes.
Song, along with seven other defendants, was found guilty of various charges, including rioting, using weapons and explosives, providing material support to terrorists, obstruction, and attempted murder. The other defendants received sentences ranging from 30 to 70 years in prison, with a combined total of 450 years.
The sentencing comes just shy of the one-year anniversary of the attack and marks the first time that defendants affiliated with Antifa have been sentenced following President Donald J. Trump’s executive order designating the group as a Domestic Terrorist Organization in September 2025.
According to the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas, Ryan Raybould, the sentences handed down today make clear that Antifa terrorists who attack law enforcement and federal facilities will face swift and uncompromising justice. The Department of Justice will continue to aggressively investigate, disrupt, and prosecute those who threaten law enforcement officers or undermine the rule of law.
The case against the defendants was a result of a 12-day trial that began on February 23, where jurors heard testimony from 46 witnesses and considered over 210 exhibits supporting the charges against nine indicted defendants.
