Savin Seng, Murder, Texas 2025

A gruesome murder in Victoria, Texas, has led to the conviction of Savin Seng, a 27-year-old admitted gang member from Cambodia. Seng, who had illegally resided in the United States since he was a child, was found guilty of being in possession of a firearm linked to the shooting death of a local woman.

According to court documents, Seng had been ordered removed as an aggravated felon in April 2016 but had not been physically removed. He had been in custody in California, Georgia, and Louisiana, and had an active arrest warrant from 2022 for another homicide in Los Angeles, California.

On October 3, 2025, an incident occurred at a residence in the Telferner community outside Victoria, where authorities found a female victim deceased from a gunshot wound to the head. The shooter had left his cell phone and fled the scene.

An image on the phone showed Seng holding a Glock pistol with an extended magazine. A witness had also identified him as the murder suspect. Law enforcement located Seng less than a mile from the scene of the shooting and took him into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Seng had a loaded Glock 17, 9mm pistol in his shorts along with a loaded 31-round extended magazine. Seng admitted he possessed many guns while remaining in the United States illegally.

Seng was ordered to serve 180 months for being an illegal alien in possession of a weapon linked to the shooting death of a local woman. These cases are part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the U.S. government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
