LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, NOVEMBER 9, 1929 – In a chilling display of violence, two brazen robbers left a young couple for dead in a tragic crime that shook the streets of Los Angeles. Lucille Bolton, a 20-year-old bride, was shot to death while sitting in her new automobile with her husband, John Bolton, 26, who was also believed to have been fatally wounded.
