Yesterday morning, Coroner Jackman convened a conclusive inquest into the murder of Richard Owens in Elm Street, New York, last Saturday night. The investigation had been renewed, and the Coroner’s inquiry had led to the arrest of four suspects. Two of them, John Quinlan and Jobu Glass’s brother, James Glass, were taken into custody, while a third, James Glass himself, remained at large. The police had yet to apprehend the elusive James Glass, but Captain Dowling, who had been successful in arresting the other suspects, was hot on his trail.
