MODESTO, Calif. – In a four-day manhunt that gripped the nation, suspect Charles Wiley was finally apprehended at Crows Landing, just outside of Modesto, on the morning of May 3, 1930. Wiley is accused of brutally murdering three ranch hands in a gruesome triple homicide on a remote ranch near Modesto.
