Bloods Gang Member Larry ‘Mafia’ Green Sentenced to 22 Years for 2006 Murder

Bloods gang member Larry ‘Mafia’ Green, also known as Larry Green, was sentenced to 22 years in prison for his role in the 2006 murder of Shawn Williams, alias ‘Showtime,’ in Paterson, New Jersey.

Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim cited this case as an example of the devastating consequences of drug-related violence on city streets. ‘Today, Larry Green was sentenced to 22 years for murdering a rival drug dealer over a turf dispute,’ said Mr. Kim, emphasizing the office’s commitment to justice.

Green, who has also been known by the aliases ‘Maf’ and ‘Fruit Town Brims,’ previously pled guilty to participating in a conspiracy to distribute and possess more than one kilogram of heroin between 2006 and 2014. The investigation revealed that Green was involved in an ongoing dispute over drug distribution territory that ultimately led to Williams’s tragic death.

On July 2, 2006, Green confronted Williams while he was inside a vehicle on North Main Street in Paterson. Without hesitation, Green opened fire, killing Williams. His actions were part of a violent streak that has now earned him a substantial prison sentence.

Mr. Kim praised the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Newark Division, the Paterson Police Department, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, the Clifton Police Department, and the New Jersey State Police for their relentless pursuit of justice.

The case was handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Justina L. Geraci, who oversaw the prosecution within the Violent and Organized Crime Unit.
