Christopher Jugg Wells, Methamphetamine Distribution and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Georgia 2024

WAYCROSS, GA: Christopher ‘Jugg’ Wells, 32, a prominent member of the notorious Bloods criminal street gang, has been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison.

In a gritty Georgia courtroom, U.S. District Court Judge Lisa Godbey Wood handed down a 210-month sentence for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wells was also sentenced to five years of supervised release following his prison term.

“Christopher Wells has been involved in criminal activity for his entire adult life,” said U.S. Attorney Bobby L. Christine. “Despite multiple chances to reform, he chose a lawless lifestyle.”

The sentencing follows an FBI operation that targeted methamphetamine trafficking operations in the Waycross area. Wells was arrested in August 2017 and was named in a 47-count indictment alongside 34 other defendants.

Wells’ criminal record spans over two decades, starting at age 15 with at least 25 arrests and eight felony convictions as an adult.

Chris Hacker, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Atlanta field office, emphasized the impact of Wells’ absence from the streets. “Waycross citizens are safer with Wells off the streets,” he said.
