Robert Solove, Child Pornography Production and Distribution, Florida 2020

A 28-year-old man from Boca Raton has been arrested and charged with producing and distributing child pornography.

Robert Solove was taken into custody by federal agents after a lengthy investigation that uncovered a stash of explicit images of a young girl, believed to be a toddler, engaged in sexually explicit acts. The images were posted on a username linked to Solove’s online identity, ‘rsolove99’, in an internet chat room.

According to court records, the investigation began when law enforcement observed the explicit images posted by ‘rsolove99’ in the chat room. During a subsequent chat with the username, Solove allegedly claimed to have taken the images of the young girl.

An investigation led by the U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in a search warrant being executed at Solove’s residence on February 18, 2020. During the search, law enforcement officers discovered a female toddler in need of medical attention, prompting an ambulance to be called to transport the child to the hospital.

Solove was found to possess two cellular telephones containing videos of children under the age of 12 engaged in sexually explicit acts. He was subsequently arrested and charged with production, distribution, and possession of child pornography.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Gregory Schiller, with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. The investigation was commended by U.S. Attorney Ariana Fajardo Orshan, who praised the efforts of HSI and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
