Boston Bank Robbed of Nearly $1,000 in April Heist

BOSTON – In a brazen daytime robbery, a Boston man allegedly stormed into a TD Bank branch in Boston and made off with nearly $1,000.

According to authorities, Coleman Nee, 40, walked into the TD Bank on April 26, 2021, and brandished a weapon, demanding cash from bank employees.

The TD Bank in Boston was robbed of approximately $990, leaving investigators to track down the suspect.

Nee will make an initial appearance in federal court in Boston on Friday, July 23, 2021, before U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Jennifer C. Boal.

The charge of bank robbery carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release, and a fine of $250,000.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Suzanne Sullivan Jacobus of Acting U.S. Attorney Nathaniel R. Mendell’s Major Crimes Unit is prosecuting the case.

The details contained in the indictment are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

A coalition of law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the Massachusetts State Police, the Boston Police Department, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Police, worked together to bring the suspect to justice.
