Brandi M. Whitford, Maintaining a Drug-Involved Premises, Jamestown NY, 2019
BUFFALO, N.Y. – In a crushing blow to the Jamestown drug trade, Brandi M. Whitford, 28, has been sentenced to time served and three years’ probation for maintaining a drug-involved premises.
According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, Whitford, along with co-defendant Richard E. Kinsey Jr., used a residence on Newland Avenue in Jamestown, to manufacture, distribute, and use methamphetamine between September 2019 and October 23, 2019.
On September 6, 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence, recovering three firearms. A fourth firearm was thrown from the residence during the execution of the search warrant. Investigators also recovered methamphetamine, approximately $12,045 in cash, assorted ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.
Whitford’s sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarentino, New York Field Division; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Bryan Miller, New York Field Division; and the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, under the direction of Jamestown Police Chief Timothy Jackson.
Whitford’s co-defendant, Richard Kinsey, had previously been convicted of his involvement in the Jamestown drug trade.
The sentencing marks a significant victory for law enforcement in their efforts to combat the Jamestown drug trade.
U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo presided over the sentencing.
