New Orleans Man Guilty of Marijuana Trafficking, Machinegun Possession, AL 2026
NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – Brandon Dunn, age 20, pleaded guilty on April 1, 2026 before U.S. District Judge Greg G. Guidry to conspiracy to distribute, and possession with intent to distribute, marijuana, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(D), and 846, and possession of a machinegun, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(o) and 924(a)(2).
According to court documents, Dunn’s guilty plea stems from an investigation into a narcotics trafficking organization operating in the New Orleans area. The probe revealed that Dunn was involved in the distribution of marijuana, as well as the possession of a machinegun.
As part of the plea agreement, Dunn will be sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in federal prison, with a maximum of life imprisonment. The exact sentence will be determined by U.S. District Judge Greg G. Guidry at a later date.
