A Rapid City man was found not guilty of two counts of sexual abuse in federal court.
Brandon Lindemann, also known as Brandon Lindeman, age 36, was indicted by a federal grand jury on September 17, 2020.
The charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile female at a time when she was incapable of declining participation near Porcupine in February 2020.
The investigation was conducted by the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case, which resulted in Lindemann’s acquittal on October 28, 2021.
Lindemann was charged with two counts of sexual abuse, a serious crime that carries severe penalties.
Despite the serious nature of the charges, Lindemann was found not guilty by a federal jury.
