‘Breezy’ Busted: New York Man Charged with Child Exploitation Offenses

A 28-year-old New York man has been charged with child exploitation offenses in a shocking case that exposes the darkest corners of the human heart.

Nicolas Brown, also known as “Breezy,” allegedly arranged multiple Uber trips to pick up teenage girls from a state-run group home in Connecticut and deliver them to him at various hotels and shopping malls in the state where he engaged in explicit sexual conduct with one of the minor victims.

According to court documents, on one occasion, Brown and two minors traveled to Manhattan, and then to a hotel in South Hackensack, New Jersey, where they stayed for several days. The indictment charges Brown with production of child pornography, an offense that carries a mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of 15 years and a maximum term of imprisonment of 30 years.

The indictment also charges Brown with possessing and accessing with intent to view child pornography, an offense that carries a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years. Brown has been detained in state custody since his arrest on March 20, 2024.

U.S. Attorney Vanessa Roberts Avery stressed that an indictment is not evidence of guilt, and charges are only allegations until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Hartford Police Department, and the Danbury Police Department, with the assistance of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher Lembo as part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood Initiative, which aims to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation. If convicted, Brown faces a minimum of 15 years in prison for producing child pornography and up to 20 years for possessing and accessing child pornography with intent to view.
