Tax Preparation Business Owner Charged with Tax Fraud

In a shocking revelation, Brian A. VanDusen, owner of EasyTax Refund, has been indicted on tax fraud and wire fraud charges in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The indictment, handed down by a federal grand jury on Today, alleges that VanDusen, 51, of Webster Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, falsified tax returns for thousands of taxpayers, resulting in an estimated loss of millions of dollars in tax revenue.

According to the indictment, during 2014 and 2018, VanDusen and his employees prepared and filed approximately 2,898 federal tax returns, 36% of which contained Schedule C forms and were falsified to claim an earned income tax credit and tax refund for taxpayers.

The indictment is a significant development in the ongoing effort to combat tax fraud and protect the integrity of the tax system. As the investigation continues, it is clear that the authorities will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice.
