BUFFALO, NY – A pair of Buffalo men are facing potentially life-altering consequences after a raid uncovered a sickening stockpile of fentanyl, crack cocaine, and firearms. Antonio Martinez, 43, and Dominic Daniels, 38, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.
The bust, a coordinated effort by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, stemmed from an investigation into suspected narcotics trafficking. On June 25, 2025, authorities executed search warrants on locations on Townsend Street and Easton Avenue, identified as hubs for the defendants’ alleged drug operations. What they found wasn’t just a small-time operation; it was a dangerous quantity of poison flooding the streets.
Investigators seized approximately 2,123 grams of suspected fentanyl – enough to kill thousands – alongside 144 grams of fentanyl pills. The haul didn’t stop there. Authorities also discovered 38 grams of crack cocaine, a staggering $16,000 in cash, two loaded firearms, various drug paraphernalia, and six cellular telephones. Daniels faces additional charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, escalating the potential penalties.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey E. Intravatola is leading the prosecution. The investigation wasn’t a solo effort, drawing resources from the Buffalo Police Department, the U.S. Probation Department, and Homeland Security Investigations, led by Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Mark Grimm, Sheriff John Garcia, Commissioner Alphonso Wright, Chief Probation Officer Timothy Englert, and Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan, respectively. This clearly demonstrates the scale of the operation and the coordinated response to combat the fentanyl crisis gripping the nation.
If convicted on the charges, both Martinez and Daniels could face a maximum penalty of life in prison. The weight of evidence suggests a serious criminal enterprise, but as always, the legal process will unfold. It’s a grim reminder of the dangers lurking within our communities and the relentless efforts of law enforcement to stem the tide of illegal drugs.
