In a shocking federal case, Juan Carlos Cabrera-Cruz was brought to justice after a lengthy investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). On October 5, 2020, Cabrera-Cruz was charged with multiple counts of violent crime by the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland.

The charges against Cabrera-Cruz included engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise, conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and use of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime. The indictment alleged that Cabrera-Cruz was the leader of a large-scale narcotics trafficking organization that operated in Maryland and other parts of the country.

According to court documents, Cabrera-Cruz and his co-conspirators were responsible for distributing large quantities of heroin, fentanyl, and other controlled substances in the Baltimore area. The indictment also alleged that Cabrera-Cruz used violence and intimidation to maintain control over his organization and to protect his narcotics trafficking operation.
