Caleb Lewis Witte, Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor, Oklahoma 2020

A 25-year-old Bartlesville man has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 14-year-old minor. Caleb Lewis Witte admitted to having sex with the victim on November 11, 2020, when she was 15 years old.

According to the charges filed against him, Witte engaged in sexual contact with the victim from June 1, 2020, to November 11, 2020. The majority of the abuse occurred when the victim was 14 years old.

Witte pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact with a minor in Indian Country and sexual abuse of a minor in Indian Country, both federal crimes.

The investigation into Witte’s crimes was conducted by the FBI and the Bartlesville Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stacey P. Todd is prosecuting the case.

“Caleb Witte violated the trust placed in him when he took advantage of a vulnerable victim by sexually abusing her. A school counselor became aware of the abuse and immediately contacted authorities,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.

Protecting children from harm takes an entire community, said Johnson. Behind every sexual abuse case we pursue, there is a long line of personal and professional advocates who play key roles in supporting victims and seeking justice on their behalf. Their support is critical.

U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell has set sentencing for February 22, 2022. Witte’s exact sentence or outcome remains to be determined at this time.
