Greedy Predators Exploit Child

A California couple, Jesus Coca, 35, and his wife Caroline Coca, 36, have pleaded guilty to producing child pornography in a Maryland court.

According to their plea agreements, in December 2014, a 14-year-old child reported to a school counselor in Hawthorne, California that Jesus Coca was sexually abusing the child.

Between 2012 and 2013, Jesus directed Caroline to perform sexual acts on the victim while he watched a live transmission on his cell phone over FaceTime. He also had FaceTime chats with the victim, directing them to engage in sexually explicit conduct and screen captured numerous images of the live transmissions.

Caroline provided the victim with access to her cell phone and encouraged them to engage in these FaceTime sessions with Jesus.

On December 3, 2014, Hawthorne police executed a search warrant at a residence in Hawthorne, California, and seized computer hard drives containing cell phone backups for cell phones belonging to Jesus and Caroline.

As part of their plea agreements, Jesus and Caroline must register as sex offenders in the place where they reside, work, or study, under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA).

Jesus and Caroline Coca have agreed to sentencing terms of 20 years in prison for Jesus and 10 years in prison followed by a lifetime of supervised release for Caroline. U.S. District Judge Paul W. Grimm has scheduled sentencing for Jesus Coca on July 7, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., and sentencing for Caroline Coca on July 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
