PHOENIX – Jonathan Frank Davis, a 38-year-old Los Angeles resident, was sentenced to 78 months in prison for transporting individuals to engage in prostitution.
According to court documents, in November 2014, Davis transported victims from California to Arizona for acts of prostitution.
This is not Davis’s first run-in with the law. He was previously convicted of attempted pimping of a minor in Los Angeles County Superior Court and is currently serving a six-year prison sentence for that crime.
The federal sentence will run consecutively to his state sentence, meaning Davis will spend a total of 10 years behind bars.
The investigation into Davis’s activities was led by the Scottsdale Police Department with assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Human Trafficking Task Force.
Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Amy Brown and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Robert Brooks and Margaret Perlmeter handled the prosecution.
Case number for this case is 17-CR-841-PHX-DGC, and release number is 2018-84_Davis.
