Crime: Trio Stole from Coeur d’Alene Tribe
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – In a brazen heist, Camille Desautel, 45, and her accomplices entered the closed Benawah Market, stealing cash and checks totaling approximately $22,650 on August 21, 2014.
Desautel, a resident of Worley, Idaho, pleaded guilty on February 3, 2015, to theft from a tribal organization.
On April 28, 2015, co-defendant Twilla Marie St. Pierre, 37, of Worley, Idaho, was sentenced to five years of probation for theft from a tribal organization. St. Pierre was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $2,978.54 to the Coeur d’Alene Tribe and $19,686.50 to Travelers Claims Hartford.
Co-defendant Adam Lee SiJohn, 26, of Worley, Idaho, was sentenced on March 3, 2015, to six months in prison for theft from a tribal organization. He was also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his release from prison.
The case was investigated by Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
