Ashlie Nicole Rose Martin, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Oklahoma 2020

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – A chilling tale of familial betrayal and brutal violence reached its conclusion this week as three individuals were sentenced to decades behind bars for the 2020 murders of a Fort Towson, Oklahoma couple. The case, investigated by a multi-agency task force, revealed a calculated plot orchestrated by the victim’s own daughter.

Ashlie Nicole Rose Martin, age 22, received a staggering 456 months in prison after being convicted of one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Her co-conspirators, Chad Jon’Dale Voyles, age 23, and Bryson Noel Miller, age 19, faced even harsher penalties for their direct involvement in the killings. Voyles was sentenced to 420 months for one count of Murder in Indian Country, while Miller received 300 months for the same charge. The crimes unfolded within the boundaries of the Choctaw Nation Reservation and fall under the jurisdiction of the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

Investigators pieced together a horrifying sequence of events that began on December 22, 2020. Then 17-year-old Martin allegedly recruited Voyles and Miller, then 18 and 15 respectively, to murder her parents. Martin facilitated their entry into the family home through a rear window. The pair brutally beat Martin’s mother while she slept on the couch, then assisted in burying her body in a shallow grave in the backyard. The trio then attempted to conceal all evidence of the crime.

The horror didn’t end there. As Martin attempted to formulate an escape plan, Voyles and Miller lay in wait for her father’s return. When he arrived, Voyles ambushed him with a compound bow, missing the initial attack. A struggle ensued, and Miller ultimately intervened, striking the father in the head with a dumbbell, rendering him incapacitated. In a final, gruesome act, Voyles and Miller doused the man in gasoline and ignited him and the house, ensuring his death.

“In December 2020, two lives were tragically cut short, and the entire community of Fort Towson was gripped by fear and disbelief,” stated FBI Oklahoma City Acting Special Agent in Charge Joe Ogden. “The ruthless violence displayed by all three defendants in this case undoubtedly proves they belong behind prison walls. The efforts of the FBI and our law enforcement partners have guaranteed they will each feel the full weight of the federal justice system.” U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Wilson added, “The defendants’ actions were brutal and horrifying…although nothing can erase the effects of these crimes or ease these families’ agony, the sentences imposed remove three very dangerous people from our community for a very long time.”

The Honorable David C. Joseph, U.S. District Judge, presided over the sentencing hearing. The defendants are currently in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service and will be transported to a designated Bureau of Prisons facility to begin serving their non-paroleable sentences. Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin D. Traster prosecuted the case. The investigation involved the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office.
