A brazen bank robbery at First Commonwealth Bank in Edgewood, Pennsylvania, has resulted in a federal indictment against 44-year-old Christopher Gregg of Verona, PA.
According to the indictment, on or about February 22, 2016, Gregg robbed the First Commonwealth Bank, located at 1105 S. Braddock Avenue, in Edgewood, PA 15218. The bank is insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of 25 years in prison, a fine of $250,000.00, or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Gregg is accused of taking something, but the details of what that something is, remain unclear at this time.
The investigation leading to the indictment was a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Allegheny County Police, and the Edgewood Police Department.

Assistant United States Attorney Shanicka L. Kennedy is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government.
