A brazen daylight robbery shocked the community in Topeka, Kansas, when a man walked into the U.S. Bank, 3600 SW Topeka Boulevard, and demanded cash from a teller. The suspect, identified as Clinton Adam Richards, 38, Topeka, Kan., entered the bank, displayed a threatening demeanor, and made off with the loot.

The robbery occurred on an unspecified day, but the details of the heist were captured by a witness who reported seeing the robber board a Topeka Metro bus at a bus stop near the bank. Police were hot on the trail and stopped the bus, apprehending Clinton Adam Richards and bringing an end to the manhunt.

Clinton Adam Richards has since pleaded guilty to one count of bank robbery, a federal offense that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
