Clinton Man Indicted for Cocaine Trafficking

BOSTON, MA – A convicted felon from Clinton, Massachusetts, has been indicted for his alleged role in a massive cocaine trafficking operation. Emmanuelli Rojas-Moraza, 40, faces federal charges of possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine and using a communications facility in connection with a narcotics offense.

According to the indictment, Rojas-Moraza used the U.S. mail to facilitate his cocaine trafficking activities. The indictment alleges that he was involved in distributing kilogram quantities of cocaine, which can have devastating effects on communities.

Rojas-Moraza has a prior conviction for cocaine conspiracy, which makes his current charges even more serious. If convicted, he faces a sentence of 10 years to life in prison, a term of supervised release of eight years to life, and a fine of $8 million.

The charges against Rojas-Moraza are the result of an ongoing investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the Clinton Police Department.

Assistant U.S. Attorney John T. Mulcahy of the Worcester Branch Office is prosecuting the case. United States Attorney Andrew E. Lelling, along with other law enforcement officials, made the announcement.

The details contained in the charging documents are allegations, and Rojas-Moraza is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

The case highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the cocaine trade in Massachusetts. Rojas-Moraza’s alleged activities demonstrate the devastating impact that cocaine trafficking can have on communities.
