Juan Hernandez, Cocaine and Heroin Trafficking, North Carolina 2022

RALEIGH – The United States Attorney’s Office is cracking down on cocaine and heroin distributors in North Carolina. In a large-scale enforcement operation, 17 individuals were arrested on charges related to cocaine and heroin trafficking, as well as violent crime, in Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson, and Pitt Counties.

The operation, part of the Take Back North Carolina Strategy, involved the Tar River Regional Drug Task Force, Greenville Regional Drug Task Force, and other partners. This initiative brings the full weight and resources of the federal court system to combat violent and drug crime in the Eastern District of North Carolina.

United States Attorney Robert J. Higdon, Jr., will hold a press conference on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Nash County Commissioners Room to discuss the results of the operation.

The press conference will also feature members of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies involved in the operation.

The Take Back North Carolina Strategy is a collaborative effort between the United States Attorney’s Office, District Attorneys’ Offices, and federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to combat violent and drug crime in the Eastern District of North Carolina.

The operation will bring the full weight and resources of the federal court system to bear on those who engage in violent and drug crime in the Eastern District of North Carolina.
