Jennifer Hamersky, Conspiring to Conceal Violations, Maryland 2015

Baltimore, MD – A federal grand jury has indicted Jennifer Hamersky, a licensed drug counselor under contract with the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services, and her supervisee Anthony Evans Owings Seen for conspiring to conceal alleged violations of pretrial release.

According to the seven-count indictment, Hamersky, a 33-year-old resident of Severn, MD, and Seen, a 31-year-old resident of Glen Burnie, MD, allegedly conspired to conceal from U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services officers and federal judges the violations of pretrial release committed by one of Hamersky’s clients, referred to as Person A.

The indictment alleges that Hamersky and Seen conspired to conceal Person A’s use of narcotic drugs or other controlled substances, failure to appear for urinalysis testing, and failure to appear for counseling sessions.

Hamersky, who serves as a Clinical Professional Addictions Counselor in Maryland, allegedly included false information and material omissions in Person A’s monthly treatment reports, which were submitted to U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services.

The indictment also alleges that Hamersky and Seen engaged in a romantic relationship, which began in August 2015, and that they used narcotic drugs or other controlled substances together while Person A was under Hamersky’s supervision.

Hamersky allegedly purchased and delivered electronics, clothing, and other items to Person A while he was incarcerated, and paid for and caused money orders to be sent for the purchase of narcotic drugs or other controlled substances used by Person A while he was incarcerated.

The indictment was announced by U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein, FBI Special Agent in Charge Gordon B. Johnson, U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services Chief William F. Henry, and DEA Assistant Special Agent in Charge Don A. Hibbert.
