Daisy Man Guilty of Ammunition Possession
A 39-year-old man from Daisy, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to possessing ammunition as a convicted felon.
John Douglas Walker III, 39, of Daisy, Oklahoma, entered a guilty plea to Felon in Possession of Ammunition, punishable by not more than 10 years imprisonment, a fine up to $250,000.00, or both, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The indictment alleges that on or about February 5, 2019, Walker knowingly possessed in and affecting commerce, ammunition which had been shipped and transported in interstate and foreign commerce, within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charges arose from an investigation by the United States Marshals Service and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Assistant United States Attorney Dean Burris represented the United States in the case.
The Honorable Kimberly E. West, U.S. Magistrate Judge, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.
Walker is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date.
