Armed Robber Sentenced to 84 Months in Prison
A brazen daytime robbery in St. Louis County has resulted in a lengthy prison sentence for the perpetrator. Daniel D. Martin, 22, of Ferguson, was sentenced to 84 months in prison for robbing a dollar store at gunpoint in August 2021.
The crime took place on August 29, 2021, when Martin entered a store on Midland Boulevard and demanded money from the cashier after displaying a handgun. He fled the store with $267.34 in cash.
According to court records, Martin pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis in February to one count of robbery and one count of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence. The St. Louis County Police investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tiffany Becker prosecuted the case.
