Bosque Farms Man Charged with Assault Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A Bosque Farms man has been charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury, domestic assault by a habitual offender, and being a felon in possession of ammunition, announced United States Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez.
Daniel Vincent Olguin, 36, of Bosque Farms, and an enrolled member of the Pueblo of Isleta, was arraigned on an indictment charging him with these crimes.
According to the indictment and other court records, on Aug. 9, 2022, Olguin assaulted his intimate partner, Jane Doe. As a result of the assault, Doe was diagnosed with a concussion.
An indictment is only an allegation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. If convicted, Olguin faces up to 15 years in prison.
The Isleta Police Department investigated this case, and Assistant United States Attorney Robert James Booth II is prosecuting the case.
Olguin will remain in custody pending trial, which has not been scheduled.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, a department-wide initiative to reduce violent crime.
A federal grand jury indicted Olguin on May 24.
