Danny Ray Marable Sentenced to 70 Months in Prison for Child Pornography Charges

SHREVEPORT, La. – In a recent federal court hearing, Danny Ray Marable, a 64-year-old resident of Keithville, Louisiana, was sentenced to 70 months (5 years, 10 months) in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for receipt of child pornography.

The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote on an exact date not specified in the source, however, Marable pleaded guilty on October 8, 2020, to the charge of receiving child pornography. This guilty plea led to the investigation of Marable’s online activities, which ultimately revealed his possession of child pornography.

According to the evidence presented during the hearing, in October 2019, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) received information from MeWe, an online social media and social networking service, that indicated a user uploaded images depicting child pornography. These images included bondage and exploitation of prepubescent minors and/or minors under the age of 12.

A forensic analysis of the seized items, including Marable’s cellphone and flash drive, revealed that he received over 100 images and over 50 videos of child pornography involving prepubescent minors and/or minors under the age of 12. The videos and images specifically depicted children being sexually exploited.

The FBI, U.S. Marshal’s Service, and Bossier City Police Department conducted the investigation into Marable’s activities, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Tennille Gilreath prosecuting the case.

Danny Ray Marable is currently serving his 70-month prison sentence. His case serves as a reminder of the importance of online safety and the severe consequences of engaging in child pornography.
