Darius Moore, Fentanyl Trafficking, Tennessee 2026

Memphis, TN – In a blow to the city’s notorious Young Mob street gang, Darius Moore, 39, was sentenced to 210 months in prison for his role in a massive fentanyl trafficking operation. Moore’s conviction comes on the heels of a trial that saw him and two co-defendants, Mervin Anderson and Mario Gardner, found guilty of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl.

The sentencing, which took place on April 16, 2026, marked the latest development in a case that has been unfolding since November 12, 2025, when the trio was convicted by a jury. Anderson and Gardner had previously been sentenced to 150 months and 51 months in prison, respectively.

Moore’s sentence was particularly harsh due to his designation as a career offender. The 39-year-old had a history of convictions, including the sale of hydromorphone in 2005 and 2008, and was on supervised release when he committed the fentanyl trafficking crime. In 2019, Moore was convicted of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl within 1000 feet of a playground, and was subsequently placed on supervised release.

The evidence presented during the trial revealed that Moore and his co-defendants were members or associates of the Young Mob Military or Young Mob street gang, which was led by co-defendant Brian Lackland. The gang’s operation involved the distribution of thousands of fentanyl pills within the Western District of Tennessee.

Moore’s sentence also included an additional 1 year in prison for violating the conditions of his supervised release. The case serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of fentanyl trafficking and the consequences that come with it.
