Darren F. Fenner, Methamphetamine Trafficking, Ohio 2017

A Toledo man, Darren F. Fenner, 63, has been charged in federal court for his alleged involvement in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.

According to an indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court, Fenner and others conspired to possess 15 grams of methamphetamine between November and December 2017.

Fenner was indicted on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and one count of attempted possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, which uncovered evidence of Fenner’s alleged involvement in the methamphetamine trafficking operation.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio is handling the prosecution, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burke leading the case.

Under federal law, the maximum penalty for the charges against Fenner is determined by the Court after review of various factors, including his prior criminal record, role in the offense, and the nature of the violations.

An indictment is merely an accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Darren Fenner is entitled to a fair trial in which the government must prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
