Columbia Man Pleads Guilty to Possessing Child Pornography in New Hampshire
CONCORD, N.H. – David Morris, 57, of Columbia, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty today in federal court to possessing child pornography, announced Acting United States Attorney John J. Farley.
A review of various electronic devices found in residences associated with the defendant on July 20, 2016, showed that they contained hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. Sentencing is scheduled for February 1, 2018.
The case was investigated by the New Hampshire Crimes Against Children Task Force in conjunction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations Manchester, as well as the Lincoln, Littleton, and Columbia police departments. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Seth Aframe and Georgiana Konesky.
In February 2006, the Department of Justice introduced Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative designed to protect children from online exploitation and abuse. Led by the United States Attorney’s Offices, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.
