A Fayetteville man has been sentenced to a total of 210 months in prison for being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm, according to court documents.
David Robinson, 21, was sentenced on February 6 by the Honorable Chief Judge Timothy L. Brooks in the United States District Court in Fayetteville.
The conviction stems from an incident on November 21, 2024, when officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a call of an armed person at an apartment complex. A witness reported that Robinson arrived at the complex, made verbal threats and exposed a handgun in his waistband.
Officers subsequently located Robinson and searched his residence, where they found a Glock .40 caliber pistol. Robinson has an extensive criminal history and is considered an Armed Career Criminal under Federal Law based on his prior felony convictions for violent offenses.
United States Attorney Kimberly D. Harris of the Western District of Arkansas made the announcement, stating that the Fayetteville Police Department, the Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case.
Assistant United States Attorney David Harris prosecuted the case for the United States. This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the government to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime.
