David Torres-Medina, Robbery, Pennsylvania 2017

Philadelphia, PA – Two individuals, David Torres-Medina and Adiezel Perez-Rosario, both of Philadelphia, have been charged with four robberies of pizza delivery drivers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The indictments, announced by Acting United States Attorney Louis D. Lappen, allege that Torres-Medina committed a robbery of a Domino’s Pizza delivery person on September 20, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Additionally, the indictments charge that Torres-Medina and Perez-Rosario committed gunpoint and knifepoint robberies of pizza delivery employees of Domino’s Pizza, Fishtown Pizza, and Bravo Pizza, each located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 13, 21, and 22, 2017, respectively.

Torres-Medina and Perez-Rosario are also charged with a gunpoint robbery of a motor vehicle in connection with the February 22, 2017 Bravo Pizza delivery driver robbery.

According to the indictment, if convicted of all counts, Torres-Medina faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory 82-year minimum sentence, a $2,500,000 fine, five years supervised release, and a $1,000 special assessment. Perez-Rosario faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory 82-year minimum sentence, a $2,000,000 fine, five years supervised release, and a $800 special assessment.

The case has been investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Philadelphia Police Department, and the Bensalem Police Department. The case has been assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Eric A. Boden.

Torres-Medina and Perez-Rosario are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
