In a brazen display of greed, a Delaware pharmacist has been indicted for stealing prescription drugs from his former employer for personal use.

A federal grand jury in Wichita returned an indictment charging Bradley A. Schott, 39, of Newark with allegedly taking prescription drugs from a former employer, his personal stash fueling a decades-long addiction.

The indictment, unsealed on March 20, 2024, charges Schott with one count of theft of a controlled substance, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.

According to court documents, Schott worked as a pharmacist at a pharmacy in Wichita from 2005 to 2010. He allegedly stole prescription drugs, including hydrocodone and oxycodone, which he took for his own use.

Schott’s actions not only put his own life at risk but also endangered the lives of others. The misuse of prescription drugs can lead to addiction, overdose, and even death.
