Denton Man Sentenced to 40 Years for Child Pornography & Exploitation

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Michael Bo Peacock, 50, of Denton, Texas, was sentenced to 480 months (40 years) in prison for his role in a conspiracy to produce child pornography and the sexual exploitation of children, announced Acting United States Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook.

Peacock pleaded guilty on November 21, 2024, to one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography and one count of enticing a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. His co-defendant, Daniel Perryman Collins, 35, of Pineville, Louisiana, was sentenced to 325 months (27 years, 1 month) in February 2025 for similar offenses.

The pair are accused of exploiting over 100 child victims between January and November 2023. They coerced minors into producing sexually explicit material through threats and blackmail, using advanced security measures to hide their identities.

Peacock operated from Dallas, Texas, while Collins worked out of Pineville. They shared access to a cloud-based file hosting service where they posted the child pornography they created or obtained. The FBI’s Child Exploitation Operational Unit traced the activity back to them.

On November 16, 2023, authorities executed a search warrant at Collins’ residence in Pineville, obtaining all of the illegal material. Acting United States Attorney Van Hook emphasized that such crimes will not be tolerated and pledged continued efforts to protect children from exploitation.
